Candle Care Instructions
We care, and we know you do, too. That's why we start with plentiful, Australian-grown soy beans. An all-natural, biodegradable, renewable energy source. You will not find a trace of petroleum-based paraffin in our candles. Natural in color, we generously combine our high-quality oils with 100% all-natural soy wax. No artificial dyes or additives are included. A lead-free, cotton (or hemp) wick is the final touch in a carefully handcrafted The Studio Room soy candle.
The natural beauty of a The Studio Room soy candle speaks for itself. A pure, creamy, white candle that over time gently reveals a hint of natural color from the essential oil added during it's creation. A bit of frost around the edges show its character. A slight ripple in an otherwise smooth surface lets you know the soy candle was poured by human hands. And you can't miss the intoxicating aroma that tells you every ounce of soy wax was saturated in fragrance.
This all-natural, simple, earth-friendly approach produces the cleanest burning candle available. The Studio Room soy candle is a candle that's good for your own personal environment, as well as the big one we all share. This is the new way to think about candle care.
The Studio Room has not forgotten the importance of caring for a candle, both when it is burning or in storage. We realize that candles are not essential to daily living, but are more of an extravagant necessity in life. When you indulge in a premium candle, you expect excellent performance and high safety standards. And we do not offer a candle that has not been thoroughly tested and approved in both of these key expectation areas.
However, when The Studio Room soy candle leaves us and arrives on your doorstep, we are no longer in control of how it will be burned or cared for...you are! Again, we do our absolute best to make an excellent, safe candle, but now it is up to you to give it a full life and take special care of the environment where it will be burned. So, please follow these helpful suggestions to combine our efforts in giving you the best candle experience possible.
Safety & Longevity
• Failure to follow warning label instructions could result in fire or injury.
• Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep lit candles out of the reach of children and pets.
• Never burn your candle on or near anything flammable, or for more than 3-4 hours at a time.
• When you first light your candle, allow the wax to pool all the way to the outer edges of the container. This is called a melt pool. Allowing a full melt pool guarantees an even burn (no tunneling) and maximum fragrance throw.
• Always burn candles on a stable, protected, heat-resistant surfaces or place on a heatproof plate.
• The container will be hot when candle is lit.
• Do not burn in a draft. A draft may provide more oxygen to a flame which may cause a hotter, uneven burn.
• Before each use, trim the wick to 1/4", and never move or re-light until flame is out and wax is completely solid. If the wick becomes too long while burning, extinguish flame before trimming.
• Be sure to not over trim the wick. If the wick is too short it will result in too small of a flame and the melt pool will not reach the edges of the container.
• Center the wick after each burn and do not allow trimmed wicks, matches or other objects to remain in the candle.
• Never use container lid to put out flame. Extinguish flame with a candle snuffer, which will prevent wax from spraying.
• Do not allow water or moisture to mix with the wax. This can cause the wax to splatter or pop.
• Do not burn if wax level is below 1/4” from the bottom of the container.
• Keep candles out of direct sunlight and do not store in temperatures over 26 Celsius.
• Always read all warning labels and remove any hang tags from around the candle container prior to burning.
